Creating a Display Reviews Widget

First, navigate to the "View Campaigns" button and to the "View Campaign" page of the campaign you would like to create a display reviews widget for.

1) After watching the tutorial videos, select "Display Reviews" from the drop-down widgets tab.

2)  Next, you will be able to choose how the information is displayed to your users, by selecting a type of review request widget from the drop down type/position menu.

3) eCommerce with form, Facebook, ReviewTrust, Blog, and Simple Counter are all display types that will stay fixed in one place on your web page. All other display types will float with the user and be visible at all times.

5) Make sure to "Preview" your widget before moving forward, you can even choose to "Restore default colors" if you don't like your design. This will cause all the colors and customization options to reset to default.

Embedding the Code into Your Website

This is a tutorial on how to install a widget on a basic web page, no install is exactly the same due to the fact that all web pages are different. You are able to install a widget as long as you can copy and paste the embed code into the body tag of code for your website file.

1) Start by creating a request or display reviews widget. Please see the two sections about how to do so above.

2) Copy the code of the widget using the keyboard shortcut for copy. For Windows this is CTRL+C, for Mac this is CMD+C. You can also right-click on the code and select "Copy" from the dropdown menu.

3) Access the CPanel or Host account of the web page where you would like to install the code and open the File Manager.

4) Select "public_html"

5) Select the "index.html" file or whatever file that contains the main code for your website. Then select "Edit" from the top bar to alter the file. An edit formatting info box will appear, click "Edit"

6) Find the <body> </body> tags. These may be presented as <body class=.......> or other words following <body..> this is still where you will need to paste the code.

7) If you are using a fixed widget skip this step and go to 8 instead. Paste the code at the end of the body tag, after the <body> but before the </body> tag.

8) Skip this step if using a floating widget. If you are using a fixed widget, you will need to paste the code where you would like to widget to present itself on the web page. For this example I wanted the widget to appear after <p> More Text...</p> but before the next section.

9) Make sure to "Save Changes", then navigate to your website to see your newly added widget!

Please Note Certain widgets will appear as the small bar widget on mobile devices. This is to maintain visibility as certain sizes/shapes are not optimized for mobile viewing.
